People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” in JSC “Almaty International Party”

Meeting of party members with first deputy of chairman of Almaty branch of party “Nur Otan” Karimullin Amangeldi Karimovich on the work done during 8 months has been held on the 15th October 2010 in the conference room of JSC “Almaty International Airport”. Administration of the airport presented by President Bekmukhambetov A.A., vice presidents, executive directors, chiefs and airport employees, as well as first deputy mayor of Turksib district Alibaeva R.E. have attended the event. Chairman of primary organization of the airport, President JSC “Almaty International Airport” Bekmukhambetov Aibol Anuarovich, opened and leaded the meeting, he started with short information about the airport. Primary organization of JSC “AIA” was established in June 2010 and today counts in its ranks 123 members of the party and more than 1300 employees have already filled in the applications. Bekmukhambetov A.A. assured: “More than 3000 people work In JSC “Almaty International Airport”, and we believe that realizing the usefulness of labor in workforce and a significant contribution in political life of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” our numbers will continue to be replenished from the employees of our company who wish to join the party”.

In the main part of the meeting Karimullin A.K. has delivered a speech on the work of the Almaty city branch of the party “Nur Otan”. Karimullin A.K. with great enthusiasm explained and gave statistics of the projects and activities of the party. The political party “Nur Otan” was created in 1999 and today it has more than 800 000 members of which 500 000 in Almaty city. The head of the party is President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev Nursultan. “Nur Otan” is a multinational party for all social strata. Membership in the party is voluntary, you can join from age 18 on the basis of the written application and recommendation of 2 party members. Figures show a dramatic increase of the number of joining members in Almaty city: in 2009 -4400, and in 2010 9500 people joined. According to Karimullin A.K., there are more than 700 000 party members in Turksib district who are politically active led by Vladimir Ustyugov, chairman of the party “Nur Otan” in Turksib district. Entrepreneurs, intellectuals, actors and singers, sportsman, staff of medical and educational institutes and students are in the ranks of the party. During the meeting the first deputy chairman of the Almaty city branch of the party "Nur Otan" talked about the activities of the branch and the outcomes of the work. The theme of ecology of Almaty,air basin of the city, housing and land issues, problems with health care and legal issues of citizens have been discussed in the speech.
Karimullin A.K. has summarized the results of the activities such as:
- State Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program of Kazakhstan
- Industrial projects in Almaty city: power plants, upgrading and modernization ofMedeo ice rink, ski resort Chimbulak, the creation of a pharmaceutical factory to produce medicines of local production. In total - 8 projects.
- Strategic Plan 2020 – Kazakhstan’s path to leadership in 6 directions.
- Preparations for celebrating the 20 year anniversary of independence of our state.
- Program “Balapan” to build new and development of old kindergartens. Over 11 billion tenge was allocated for building of 30 kindergartens.
- Program “Road Map” through which over 20 000 workplaces have been created. It also covers landscaping and construction of parks, outdoor pool and fountains.
- Preparations for OSCE summit in Astana in December 2010.
- The operation, undertaken jointly with the traffic police of Almaty, on the roads of the city during which party members explained the issues and rules of the road.
- Preparations for Asian Winter Games.
- Processing of complaints of citizens on environmental issues, housing and land problems, enforcement, corruption, pensions, the issue of youth employment, etc.
- Preparations for 13th congress of the party in the beginning of 2011.
- The October month campaign for elderly people and veterans, disabled people.
- Preparations for orphans and disabled children to school..
- Campaigns to raise patriotism and tolerance.
- Development of youth politics.
“Jas Otan” is the youth wing of the PDP “Nur Otan”, the speaker urged the JSC “AIA” to attract active and honest young people to create their primary organization “Jas Otan”. Karimullin A.K. has summarized the meeting by saying: “Almaty Airport is the main strategic object not only to Almaty, but for the whole Kazakhstan. “Nur Otan” party will you support”.
